Returns and Replacements


Ambercave.co.uk conform to the Distance Selling Regulations, which are designed to protect you when buying items by Mail Order. You have the legal right to cancel your order for most items within 20 working days of receiving the goods. However, this right does not apply to certain items such as personalised products made specifically for you. If you wish to cancel using this right, you need to inform us in writing within 20 working days starting the day after you received the goods. You must take reasonable care of the goods and immediately return them to us in the normal way. We will not consider that you have taken reasonable care of the goods if they have been used in a way or to an extent beyond what would be reasonable when examining the goods in a shop before purchase.
We offer a flexible returns policy and are happy to accept items back for a refund or exchange if they don’t fit, you’ve ordered the wrong things, the items arrive damaged or faulty or incomplete upon receipt or you simply don’t like what you’ve ordered. A deduction from the purchase price may be made at the discretion of us where products are returned damaged or where packaging, which includes boxes, wrapping, and outer boxes/sleeves have not been included in the return. In the rare event we post the wrong product – very occasionally, mistakes do happen- if we have sent you an item which is different from what is listed on your invoice we will be happy to make an exchange and pay your postage costs for returning the item. We will also refund your postage costs for returning the item to us if you have received goods that were damaged, faulty, or incomplete.

New items returned for refund or exchange

  • Products must be returned within 20 working days of receipt.
  • Products must be returned along with the original packaging.
  • Products must be in an unused, new condition, as sent.
  • Products must be accompanied with a covering letter or note.

Faulty, damaged or broken goods

If you feel that the product you have purchased from Amercave.co.uk has developed a fault then please contact us before returning goods, as many problems may be solved without you incurring postage costs. We will provide you with the appropriate remedy, eg. replacement, refund or repair.

If the goods need to be returned:

The product(s) and all packaging should be securely returned by Royal Mail. All returns must be securely packaged and sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery. We advise the use of recorded or special delivery because they can be tracked. In the event of returned products not arriving back with us, we cannot be held responsible for those items that were not returned in this way using either recorded delivery or special delivery as appropriate. If the value of the returned product(s) are more than 39 pounds, then they must be returned by Special delivery, as otherwise they will not be covered by the Royal Mail compensation scheme. Please note postage costs are non-refundable (certain exceptions – see earlier text) and you are responsible for the cost of returning the product(s) .
